The Tibialis tendon provides the surgeon an excellent graft for primary, as well as revision ACL and PCL reconstructions. The use of this graft allows the physician to create a single-looped stitched configuration for use with interference screw fixation or as a single length of tendon looped over a TransFix™ pin for femoral fixation. Tibialis may also be used for small joint or podiatric surgical applications such as lateral/medial ankle ligament reconstruction or hand / wrist / elbow repair. Use of allograft tendons in these applications reduces OR time and eliminates donor site morbidity associated with the use of autografts.
Processing Guidelines:
The graft will be free of adipose tissue, incisions, separating fibers and/or hematoma staining. The Minimum diameter of tendons for use in ACL / PCL reconstruction is 7 mm. Smaller diameter sizes are available for use in small joint or podiatric applications.
Graft Measurement:

(L) Length of Tendon
(W) Smallest Width of Tendon
The folded diameter (mm) is determined by pulling the folded tendon through the appropriate hole of a sizing block.
