Bone Wedges:

These wedges offer biologic stability of osteotomy corrections while also unloading the corrective plate and screws during healing. The grafts can be easily fashioned by the surgeon to the specific size required for correction. The use of allograft bone wedges for repair of misalignment deformities reduces OR time and eliminates the negative effects of donor site pain, which can accompany the removal of autograft tissue from the patient.

Common Uses:

Osteotomy Wedges: High Tibial Osteotomy, Femoral Osteotomy
Tri-Cortical Wedge: Surgical procedures of the metatarsals
Calcaneal Wedge: Surgical procedures of the mid-foot/hind-foot

Processing Guidelines:

The bone wedge is comprised of cancellous bone allowing optimal incorporation with surrounding bone and a dense cortical ridge for added structural stability. The wedge will be free of hemorrhage, cracks, and/or calcium buildup.
