undefined ACL/PCL Reconstruction - Achilles Tendons:

Attached to the calf muscle, this tendon is responsible for plantar flexion of the ankle.

undefined

The Achilles tendon provides the physician with a large diameter densely striated graft for use in ACL and PCL surgical applications. The single length may be used with interference fixation to replace damaged ligaments of the knee. The Achilles may also be used for rotator cuff reconstruction and other small joint applications.

Processing Guidelines:

The tendon will be free of any hematoma staining, fiber separations and/or incisions. The bone block is sufficiently dense and should not collapse when moderate pressure is applied.

Graft Measurement:

The calcaneus bone block is a minimum of 10 mm wide, 25 mm in length and 10 mm in thickness. The minimum length of the graft is 160 mm. Smaller grafts are available if needed for specific applications.
