Memorial Page

Each year, thousands of people live happier, healthier and more normal lives because families cared enough to share in a belief that life can extend beyond death. This page is meant to honor tissue and organ donors and their families who have helped to pass on hope to people in need of a miracle.

Organs and tissue donated by a single person can significantly impact the lives of as many as 100 people. Every year, the lives of about 500,000 Americans are saved or enhanced by organ and tissue donation. This is an incredible gift and legacy to leave behind – one that has enduring value and importance.

To be a part of this lasting legacy, all it takes is one simple act - letting your family know your wishes about donation. Then one day, your gift could make all the difference in the life of another. As an advocate for the top tissue banking resources in the country, ATSI supports you in your decision to be a donor. Talk to your family and let them know your desire to pass on the gift of life.

undefinedHow to become a donor

The most important step in becoming an organ donor is to talk to your family. Donation often requires the consent of your next of kin, and sharing your wishes with them will give them the peace of mind they need. Additionally, you may want to carry an organ donor card or indicate your wishes on your driver’s license. It is an important decision, so talk to your family.
